A wonderful August weekend revisited

09 September 2025

A memorable event took place at the International Theosophical Centre in Naarden, the Netherlands. This magnificent and without a doubt “sacred” centre celebrated its centennial between August 22 and 24, while during that same weekend, it was commemorated that the founding of the TS took place in New York 150 years ago.

In the September issue of Centre News, the e-Magazine of the ITC, you’ll find a nice write-up about 100 years ITC.

We Are Not Alone: A Personal Reflection

30 August 2025

Barbara Hebert -- USA

 The Society BH 2

What a wonderful shot, Barbara and her "most recent"  grandchild Jackson

Thank you for allowing me to share a personal reflection regarding he 12th World Congress of the Theosophical Society held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in July 2025. The World Congress also celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Theosophical Society and the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Association. With almost 400 attendees from across the world, the Congress allowed us to visit with old friends, to meet new friends who quickly felt like old friends, and to contemplate the thoughts and ideas shared with us by fabulous speakers. We were able to come face to face with others that we had only seen and known online in various classes and programs. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together in a beautiful setting while celebrating the longevity of our organization, an organization which has had a significant impact on the world.

Maintaining Fidelity to the Founders' Vision: there is always a risk of diluting core teachings. I believe the core teachings should always be the foundation, the corner-stone of all TS efforts; that the Society should never lose sight of them.

Spiritual research and artificial intelligence

14 May 2025

Antonio Girardi – Italy

Notes from the editor. Earlier, Theosophy Forward highlighted English translations of articles that first had appeared in the Dutch magazine Theosofia and the Brazilian magazine Sophia.

It is quite remarkable to observe that many  well-designed and carefully crafted theosophical magazines are published in the languages of the various sections/countries. English is commonly spoken during international gatherings such as the yearly International Convention in Adyar, and many theosophical publications are printed in English. In order to make also other publications known to the membership, Theosophy Forward is currently publishing English translations of articles that initially appeared in their respective non-English languages. This time we pay a visit to the  ever active Italian Section. Their bimonthly magazine is called Rivista Italiana di Teosofia. Its editorial board is composed of five members plus a few other collaborators/translators. Each issue contains  a couple of articles, the editorial, index, and news about the Section’s  many activities.

The  article you are about to read was published in the November – December 2024 issue of Rivista Italiana di Teosofia; its cover is printed below.

The Society ANT 3 cover novembre dicembre 2024 2

Click on the image above to open the magazine. You will see all the articles in Italian. A unique opportunity to “brush up” your Italian!
